to be filled as soon as possible. Applicants are required to hold a Master's degree in Physics or Mathematics with above average success in the course of their studies.

Within the research group scientists from universities in Wuppertal, Hannover and Manitoba exploit exact solutions of interacting multiparticle systems to develop further the theory of exact correlation functions of Heisenberg spin chains and their relatives to provide data on static and dynamic correlation functions for standardised reference systems of any temperature, which is needed in various areas of experimental and theoretical physics. Specifically, it is intended to address features arising in the continuum limit of integrable lattice models, e.g. modified non-linear Tomonaga-Luttinger liquids, conformal field theories with extended symmetries and logarithmic conformal field theories.

For detailed information on the available PhD projects, please refer to the list of projects. Please send your application by e-mail to the project supervisor as listed on the webpage. Your application should include a detailed curriculum vitae, official transcripts, a list of publications (if applicable) and a statement of purpose. In addition, arrange for at least one letter of recommendation to be sent, preferably also by e-mail.

In project P2 a PhD fellowship is available according to §29 of the rules and regulations for fellowships (Amtl. Mitteilungen Nr. 61, April 20 2014) of the University of Wuppertal. The selection committee for this fellowships consists of the PIs of the project, M. Karbach and J. Sirker.

Review of applications will start immediately and continue until a candidate has been selected.
